NYSACAC 2014

Helping more students get into and succeed in college.

June 3-June 4, 2014

Coming Together provides you with stimulating workshops and various networking opportunities around the issues of diversity, equity and access. Organized by the NYSACAC Human Relations Committee.

The conference’s yearly mission is to bring together admissions professionals, high school counselors, and CBO counselors who are passionate about inclusion, access and success in higher education.

The 2014 Coming Together Conference is utilizing Open Space Technology for a second year due to the success of the 2013 conference, and will focus on the theme:

New Frontiers in College Access and Success: How Can We Ensure All Underrepresented Populations Get Into and Succeed in College?

Just like last year’s Coming Together Conference, there will be no preplanned workshop sessions.  Instead, participants will have the opportunity to propose and convene sessions around our theme.  While any topic is welcome, we encourage participants to pay particular attention to underrepresented groups who are newer to our discourse – for example, rural students, young men of color, undocumented youth, middle class students, etc.

Throughout the conference, participants will engage with each other, building off each other’s expertise and passions, to create networks and solutions that support our students’ access to and success in college.
